Good morning Church family,
Over the last few days I have been working my way through the book of Job. A righteous man who was tested to prove that he would remain faithful to God in spite of his suffering. Job pleaded his case, was real about his feelings but never once cursed God. He sought answers from God and finally when God answered him, God described in beautiful detail His creation and continued power that causes the earth to function still today. His answer to Job was to show who He is. The heading in my Bible says Job was humbled and satisfied. After all that….humbled and satisfied.
You see as Job said he had heard of God but on some level he had not truly seen God for who God is. First, when faced with the awesome power of our Creator only two things can happen, you realise how insignificant your problems are when pitted against the great power of God. There is nothing and will never be anything that God can’t handle. And the reason that satisfies is that you realise that this great God cares for you, loves you and holds you tenderly in His hand and nothing can snatch you out of it. You might go through really hard times like Job but ultimately you will come through the other side and be with Your Creator God and that is where true satisfaction lies. “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NRSV
Blessings
