In Luke chapter 6, Jesus teaches us not to judge or condemn. These activities belong to God, who is able to judge impartially. Only God can bring true justice and grace into these situations. But what about the times we are called on to discern right from wrong in our daily lives as believers? Jesus answers this question as we read further into the chapter by showing us that we should learn from Him as the true master, although we will never be as good as He is, we will become like Him if we learn from Him. Jesus also instructs us to first take the plank out of our own eye before removing the speck from the eye of another. We should apply His teaching to our own lives first, and then we will be able to help others.
