Good morning church family,
As I sit in my office I asked the Lord what he wanted me to share this morning. You see I’m trying to practice what I preach, less of me talking and more listening to Him. The answer was quick “Be ready.” And I began to reflect on what this might mean. Here is what I think God is saying today:
As Christians we often get into a maybe mindset, it is like we try to cushion the blow in case God doesn’t somehow come through for us and we might be disappointed. But here is the thing, we should rather be disciples who anticipate that God is going to do amazing things in and through us and in world. We should be people filled with expectation and excitement, what is God going to do next? Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” And if the answer is no then we need to continue to trust with expectation that God has something better in store for us.
