Good morning church family,
This morning during my quiet time I was reading Psalm 115 and verses 12-15 stood out for me.
“The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless his people Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron, he will bless those who fear the Lord — small and great alike. May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
While we maybe on the road to recovery with Covid 19 in New Zealand, many have had their lives turned upside down, the economic recovery is going to be hard for some. Yet how wonderful to know that God remembers each and everyone of us and that he desires us not simply to survive but to flourish as well.
Flourish means “grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly environment. We know that following in God’s ways are tried and tested. This is the environment in which we can best grow and flourish as Christians. Let’s pray that those who don’t know Jesus would come to know him and flourish and let’s remind ourselves, those of us who already exist in that environment, that we are held in safe hands and have nothing to fear.
Blessings
Laurie
