Good afternoon Church
Do you sometimes struggle with unfairness in life? Do you cry out God can you hear me? It is at times like these that I am drawn to the books of the Old Testament. I love the way the people of God spoke to Him. They were so honest in what they said. They shared their thoughts without holding back how they felt, they questioned why but also told God of their undying faith in Him. Habakkuk prayed such a prayer: “O Lord, I have heard of your renown, and I stand in awe, O Lord, of your work. In our own time revive it; in our own time make it known; in wrath may you remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2 NRSV
You see in the depths of these times we long for our Saviour, we long to see His righteousness and justice at work in the situations around us. It is good to long for God in this way because we come to a simple yet profound knowledge; He is truly all we need. He is the ultimate solution.
God revive your works in our time; in our time make them known. We want to see your kingdom come in our lives. Amen.
Blessings
