Good afternoon Church Family
2 Corinthians 6:18 says “And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”” It’s Father’s Day this Sunday! We are so blessed to have many wonderful Dads as part of our church. But if you are like me the day is bittersweet. I am blessed to be married to a man who is a wonderful father and who deserves to be celebrated while at the same time I dearly miss my own dad who passed away several years ago. Perhaps you haven’t had a good relationship with your dad or never knew him and that can be hard on a day like Father’s Day.
But how blessed we all are to have a Heavenly Father, who tenderly cares and loves us. Who promises to never leave us nor forsake us. A Father who is generous in grace and mercy and who can model healthy fatherhood to us. So this Father’s Day be sure to thank Him for all that He is and ask Him to bring comfort in grief and healing from past pain if that is how you feel on the day. He cares for you so much and wants to share in every part of your life.
May you know the Father’s love especially this weekend!
Blessings
