Good afternoon Church family
Christmas is a time of wonder, especially for children! They get excited and there is great expectation for what is to come. The children at playgroup are such a joy, everything is new and exciting for them. The more I spend time with them, the more I realise that as adults we have lost what it means to be excited about simple things. Take bubbles, for example, it’s a firm favourite on a Friday morning; they are greeted by so much happiness, their little faces light up!
“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”” Matthew 19:14 NIV. How often do we revel at the privilege of being called children of God or glory in the works of the Creator? Maybe this year at Christmas we should make the effort and time to stop and just soak up some joy, instead of trying to make sure everything gets done in our adult striving.
