Good morning Church family
This morning I was looking at the parable of the Sower in Luke. In light of what we have been learning in John, the following verses jumped out at me. “The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.” Luke 8:14-15
To those that are choked by worries, Jesus says do not let your heart be troubled. To those distracted by the world and what it has to offer, Jesus says only through obedience and being connected to me can you bear much fruit. Alone you can do nothing! To those trying to be good soil, you are taking my word to heart, keep going, hold fast to me and you will bear much fruit if you persevere.
May God grant you the courage you need to be good soil and persevere, your fruit is on the Vine!
Blessings
