Good afternoon church
In my quiet time today I was reading Psalm 130:
“Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.”
What jumped out for me was “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits and in His word I put my Hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchman wait for the morning.” Have you ever stayed up all night and waited for the dawn. It is actually quiet hard to do, you have to fight sleep and keep yourself busy, it’s a struggle but then as dawn approaches and the sky begins to lighten and glow pink, it’s a wonderful feeling, worth the wait. Our time is not God’s time but we can trust Him and when we do He will bring us through to a perfect sunrise. His sun rise may take us by surprise at times but we will know with certainty it was orchestrated by the Master.
