Good morning church family
Lately in my quiet time, I have been reading Acts and today I was reminded that the people of God are a mighty force. Paul had been having trouble sharing the gospel with some of the Jews who remained unconvinced and so he turned his attention to the Gentiles who were far more receptive. Suffering so much opposition and abuse would have left anyone disheartened and yet God spoke to him….“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.” Acts 18:9-11 NIV
It is a good reminder to us all to be an encouragement and support wherever gospel work might be done, and not only in the church. Are there ways you could support other Christians fighting the good fight in the workplace, school or in the community, can you help by being an effective light? One light can make an impact, but what if we grouped our lights together, think stadium lighting. Imagine how much darkness we could overcome for the kingdom in Jesus’ name together!
Blessings
