Good morning Church family,
I can’t seem to get out of my mind at the moment the lessons we need to learn to rely more deeply on what dwells within us. God is wanting his people to turn to him, I mean really turn to him! He wants to be the source that we trust in and can rely on in any circumstance of life. Sometimes our minds can become so clouded by what is going wrong or what challenges we face that we forget it is the power of God behind us, before us, inside us and all around us. It’s time to take a breath and dwell on this truth because if we don’t get into the habit of doing this, we are likely to lose hope, motivation, joy and even commonsense. It is when we begin to doubt, or question that we end up making unwise decisions, acting in our own strength and not in God’ strength.
Peter puts it well, ““He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:24-25 NIV
Join me today as I turn all that is going on inside to Christ who dwells within.
Blessings
Laurie
