Good afternoon Church family,
I came across this verse today …..“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25 NIV. I find the wording really fascinating and quite profound. It confirms that for us life by the Spirit is a reality. Yet notice the pace we are supposed to take, it’s not lagging behind, or running ahead, it’s keeping in step with the Spirit. In order to do that we have to make the effort to keep up with who God is, what His Will is and what His mission is in the world. We must also not think we have all the answers and rush ahead in our own steam. We have to ask the Spirit to guide us and surrender to His timing. How is your relationship with the Spirit at the moment, are you lagging behind or rushing ahead? What could you do to catch up or slow down? Spend time in prayer asking God to help you be more in step with Him.
