Thursday, 11 November 2021 – Truth

Good afternoon Church family,

Last Sunday we looked at why it is so important to worship God in spirit and in truth.

In John 9:39-31, after Jesus healed the blind man He says, “I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind.” Some of the Pharisees near him heard this and said to him, “Surely we are not blind, are we?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would not have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”

If we claim to truly worship God then His truth must reign in our lives. When God has so graciously bestowed His truth on His people they should not ignore it as one pretending to be blind when in fact they can see. This is a far more dangerous position to be in than someone who has not yet had the truth of God revealed to them. What areas of God’s truth might you be avoiding at the moment? Don’t be afraid to address what God is trying to teach you, it will be one of the most life giving things you can do.

Blessings

Laurie
