Good morning Church family,

Someone suggested we follow a series that has been released in the YouTube space called The Chosen. It is a dramatised back story of the ministry of Jesus. It is a wonderful watch and a great way to share the gospel. Last night we watched episode three, it is a particularly touching story of how Jesus engaged with some children. It got me thinking…I love my son so much, he is one of the biggest blessings in my life. It has been wonderful to watch him develop and grow over the years. If you have children or are close to a child you will know what I mean. As parents we will do anything we can to ensure our children’s happiness and we strive to make sure they have everything they need. I would lay down my life for my son if I had to.

How marvellous that in this life experience we can develop an understanding of how God sees us and how much He loves us. God wants us to be happy and to have everything we could possibly need. He even laid down His life for us. Our God is an amazing Father to us. How blessed we are to be His children. Matthew 7-7-11 says ““Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

Blessings

Laurie
