Good afternoon Church family,
The verse for today says “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” Hebrews 4:16 NIV.
Notice the word confidence here, other versions say boldness. It means if you are going through hard times don’t gingerly or cautiously come before God run to him. Approach confidently because you know He is the solution to all that troubles you, even if the thing is something you have done wrong. For in Him you will find mercy and grace. You know why? This is what comes before that verse:
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin” Hebrews 4:14-15 NIV. Isn’t that fabulous?
What is keeping you from approaching God’s throne with confidence lately?
