Good afternoon Church family,
Psalms 138:3 says “On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.” NRSV. Isn’t that lovely! When we call upon the Lord not only does he answer us but He increases our souls strength to face what is next. The Hebrew for “you increased my strength of soul” is more literally translated“You made me bold in my soul with strength.” I love that!
It reminds me of the Israelites in the Old Testament. “Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.””Deuteronomy 31:6 NRSV.
How often do we let the troubles of this world rob us of our boldness and strength? How much more would we overcome if we realise who we are? We are children of God, we are bold and we are blessed. What areas of your life require boldness, don’t forget to ask God for it.
