Good afternoon Church family,
I am working my way through Isaiah at the moment. I find the prophets so fascinating. They had it the hardest I think of all those called by God to be His voice in the world. They faced intense opposition and yet remained faithful. They were also incredibly obedient. When God asked them to do something like name a child or enact a sign that was symbolic they jumped in with both feet. When I grow up I want to have a courageous faith like Isaiah;-)
Isaiah is also the book with my favorite verse. It’s Isaiah 41:10 it says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I can’t tell you how many times that scripture has been a lifeline to me.
