Good afternoon Church family,
We had such a lovely time at bible study last night, it was so good to dive deeper into scripture and to support each other in prayer. One thing that stood out for us was that we can approach the Lord in prayer and do so in an honest way, not hiding our feelings. Instead we can talk to Him about exactly how we are feeling, whether it is in a hurt voice, and angry voice or even a why me God voice. God will not stop listening to us and He will not be offended by the way we talk to him.
The parables we looked at encouraged us to pray persistently, with boldness, with shameless audacity. But what if we can’t find the words, Romans 8:26 says “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” You see even the Spirit is honest with His emotions. God wants to hear the cries of your heart. When was the last time you had a honest, keep nothing back conversation with the Father? Why don’t you do that now? God is listening and waiting to give you comfort and peace.
Blessings
Laurie
