Good afternoon Church family
As a Christian it is really important that we know how God has equipped us. 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.” We are a people equipped to be brave, to overcome our fears and who are called to be courageous in what we do. God has given us power or the ability to find our strength in Him. Love because He is Love itself. Discipline or self-control which means we are able to be prudent (shrewd, well advised and sensible) making wise choices.
So when we are faced with difficult situations or decisions, we should stop and think am I acting out of timidity or fear or out of the power of the Spirit who is at work in me. If it is the later we can do all things because we have God at work within us.
