Good morning Church family
As I was reading scripture during my quiet time this morning I came across this set of verses. ““Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.” 2 Chronicles 32:7-8 NIV
I thought how true this is for us today, our battles may be different but the principle is the same. No matter what we face there is a greater power with us, the things that stand against us are powerless because the Lord our God will help us and fight for us. Just because Christmas is upon us doesn’t mean that our troubles vanish, sometimes it’s the season that brings up a lot of grief or unresolved feelings for us. Can I encourage you to take all your feelings to the One who came to save us, there is no need for a brave face, He wants to hear from you. But also don’t allow the things you may be facing to rob you from the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love He wants to so richly lavish on you. Let Christmas remind you of that above all else!
Blessings
