Good afternoon Church family
I thought I might share a little God moment that happened for me this morning. I was having a delightful conversation with some lovely people over at the rest home. We were speaking about how often times in life we long to be with the Lord. Getting older certainly comes with many unforeseen and hard challenges. One of the ladies put it perfectly she said, “we long for heaven, it’s just that getting there is really hard.” Such insight and wonderfully put! I asked if I might share that with you today.
There is no doubt about it life can be so hard at times and the struggle is real but can you imagine a world where we didn’t have a God to put our trust in or a God we can share our deepest hurts with. That truly would be hard! So we long for heaven even though it’s just really hard getting there. “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalms 55:22 NIV
