Good afternoon Church family
Have you ever sat down and thought about what life was really like for Jesus. We read so many amazing stories, miracles and great parables, that one can often forget that Jesus had a very ordinary life too. Along with the ups, He had many downs, poverty, no place to lay His head, and people out to destroy Him. Hebrews 12:3 says “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
One of the things I admire most about Jesus was His quiet dignity, while He had every reason to lash out at people, He controlled His emotions and responded in a Godly fashion. So how did Jesus control His emotions? Well simply put, He knew the truth of God reigned in His heart and pleasing God mattered to Him more than everything else. His heart was found in God not lost to the troubles of this world. You see when worries or mistreatment cause us to grow weary, we can often act out of a defensive mindset, and lose what God has called us to be in hearts. Don’t lose heart the scripture says, remember who you represent, God himself! Remember how loved you are! Just shake it off and move forward in a Godly way.
Blessings
