Friday, 21 May 2021 – Pentecost Sunday

Hi Church family

The most amazing thing about having Christ live in us is the assurance we get. Philippians 1:6 say “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

So even on those days when everything seems to conquer us or we have wandered off the straight and narrow and have been less than Christian, we can still pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keeping our eyes on Jesus, continue on. Having Christ within us is what will help us learn to persevere.

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:1-5 NIV

What a marvelous assurance we have and which we will celebrate this Pentecost Sunday!

Blessings

Laurie
