Wednesday, 9 July 2021 – A Broad Path for My Feet

Good morning Church family,

This morning as I was reading during my quiet time I came across this Psalm. David is crying out to the Lord amidst an overpowering enemy (Saul). It is hard for David to fight back because he doesn’t want to part from the ways of the Lord and yet he must defend himself where he can. Listen to what he says as he cries out to God….“As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.” Psalms 18:30-36 NIV

Thank you Lord for your provision for us in the midst of the battles in our lives. May we cling to the Hope we have in you as we strive to live our lives according to your ways.

Blessings

Laurie
