Good morning Church family,
2 Corinthians 10:5 says “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” As Christians we often focus on the physical in our faith journeys; are we doing what Jesus would have us do. But interesting this verse challenges us to also focus on the journey of faith that is going on in our minds. What are we thinking about, what are we focusing on, what negative things do we think about ourselves or others? In this hidden place that only we really have access to, do we allow God to have His way too?
How about today we consciously note what kind of dialogue we are having with ourselves, let’s take a step back and reflect on whether this is something God is about. If we find that some of it is destructive let’s bring those thoughts before God and ask for His help to transform our thoughts, to capture them and make them obedient to God. I suspect it might be a rather life-changing process.
Blessings
