Good morning Church Family
Psalm 37:23-24 says “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” As Christians, God asks us to take the narrow road rather than the more easier wide one. At times it is an uncomfortable road, uneven and difficult to tread. We long for an easy flat section instead of an uphill climb. It is not uncommon to feel discouraged or alone. But in this Psalm we are encouraged. We are not travelling alone, there is a guide that goes before us, that says take a moment to rest, enjoy the view. As we continue on, should we stumble on a rather rocky portion, a hand immediately reaches out to steady us, to help us find our footing again and if necessary He will carry us the rest of the way. There is an old song I remember from Church as a child that is a good reminder. It has a line that says “put your hand in the hand of the man that calmed the seas.”
May you know Jesus’ steadying hand in your journey today!
Blessings
