This Sunday we put into practice all we have been learning together about life in the Kingdom by discerning together what God is saying in the remainder of Matthew 5: Oaths, Retaliation and Love of Enemy. We found that God helps us to faithfully navigate these difficulties of life.

Friday, 3 July 2020 – To God in Prayer
Good afternoon Church family, Today I woke up to a song in my head. I have learnt now to pay attention to them, as often it is God trying to teach me something or encouraging me. It was “what a friend we have in Jesus.” What was interesting was it was the line “oh whatContinue reading “Friday, 3 July 2020 – To God in Prayer”
Thursday 2 July 2020 – Blessing in Abundance
Good afternoon Church family, Today I am thankful for God’s provision. He is a good Father who cares for and provides for my every need. I was remembering the time I had to leave Zimbabwe, I did not have a penny to my name but was going to South Africa to live with my brotherContinue reading “Thursday 2 July 2020 – Blessing in Abundance”
Wednesday, 1 July 2020 – Steadfast Love
Good afternoon Church family, Have you ever read Psalm 136? Every second line repeats “His steadfast love endures forever.” So what does God’s steadfast love mean, well it’s a love that is kind, good and merciful toward us. The Bible also speaks of man’s heart being steadfast, Psalm 112:6-7 “Surely the righteous will never beContinue reading “Wednesday, 1 July 2020 – Steadfast Love”

Good morning Church family I hope you enjoyed your Sabbath, I did, mine was yesterday! This morning I was reading Hebrews 12 and a part of it reminded me of the lame man. “Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to thoseContinue reading “Tuesday, 30 June 2020”

Good afternoon Church Family, This week at Bible Study we looked at some of the parables that give us insight into the return of Christ and what life is like after death. The one that stood out for me was the Parable of the Ten bridesmaids in Matthew 25. Five were wise and five wereContinue reading “Friday, 19 June 2020”

Good morning church family, I hope you are staying dry in this weather. The thing I love about the rain is when it is over you often get to see a rainbow if you are lucky. Such a wonderful and tangible reminder of God’s promise. “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and itContinue reading “Thursday, 18 June 2020”

Good morning church family, This week I have been reflecting on Justice. What does God’s justice look like in the world. Let’s turn to the word of God. “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walkContinue reading “Wednesday, 17 June 2020”

Good afternoon church family, One of my favourite stories in the Old Testament is about King Hezekiah and his reign. The Bible says“Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the LordContinue reading “Monday, 8 June 2020”

Good morning church family I hope you are staying warm as winter gets underway. In a world that seems once again to be facing something huge. I was reminded of a song I learnt at the convent school I attended as a child. The words have left a lasting impact on me that I stillContinue reading “Thursday, 4 June 2020”
